2011 Efficiency Report
A new report released by the Office of the Commissioner of Higher Education indicates that Utah’s knack for “industry” exists in higher education as the Utah System of Higher Education (USHE) has been identified as one of the most efficient systems in the nation in generating degrees for the dollars spent. This 24-page report unveiled by Commissioner Bill Sederburg at a recent State Board of Regents meeting at Utah State University details how USHE institutions are able to maintain a high quality of education while “doing more with less.” This has led the National Center for Higher Education Management Systems (NCHEMS) to conclude that Utah is third in the country for efficiency in higher education.
