Draft Report from the U.S. Department of Education’s Committee on Measures of Student Success
The work of this committee was shared briefly at the last Community College Network meeting in September. The Committee on Measures of Student Success met recently to finalize its recommendations to Secretary Duncan. While this report addresses a number of key issues relative to measuring student success, perhaps one of its most significant contributions is the recommendation to alter how completion data is reported in IPEDS to more fully capture groups that are not counted in current completion data. The report can be found at http://www2.ed.gov/about/bdscomm/list/cmss-committee-report-11-15-11.pdf.
