Utah’s 2020 Plan for Higher Education
The Utah System of Higher Education has launched its new website for Utah’s 2020 Plan for Higher Education. The website, www.higheredutah2020.org, is being unveiled in advance of a final draft because the Board of Regents and the Commissioner of Higher Education would like to invite public comment and feedback on the plan before a final draft is released. All the best ideas will be incorporated into the final product, which will become part of a broader effort to increase educational opportunities and attainment for Utahns.
USHE’s Big Goal is for 55% of the workforce to have an associate’s degree or higher by 2020. Partners of USHE in this effort already include Governor Herbert, Utah’s institutions of higher education, Utah State Office of Education, the legislature, Department of Workforce Services, business and community leaders across the state, and other interested parties. USHE invites the public to review its best thinking to date in the following documents, provide ideas and opinions, and then join the 2020 movement.
