Online Application for Regents’ Scholarship now available
In case you didn’t know, the Utah State Board of Regents administers two scholarship programs: the New Century Scholarship and the Regents’ Scholarship and as of this morning, you can now apply for both online. We have just improved the application process for the Regents’ Scholarship and have already had a number of inquiries and applications since it went live at 8 am.
The Regents’ Scholarship encourages Utah high school students to prepare for college academically and financially by taking a core course of study and saving for college. The scholarship may be used at any public college or university in the Utah System of Higher Education, as well as at Brigham Young University-Provo, LDS Business College, and Westminster College. Because there is a detailed application criteria, we encourage all students who are interested in applying to visit the “Scholarship” portion of this website to read through all of the requirements we’ve outlined.
The outlined scholarships are only two of the many resources available to help students pay for a college education. While on this section of our site, we advise students to explore every option for financing their education. Options include:
- Exploring financial resources by contacting the financial aid office at the institution you plan on attending.
- Applying for other grants and/or scholarships. To access a more complete listing of scholarships available visit utahfutures.org.
- Completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid as early as possible. More information is available at fafsa.ed.gov.
- Use student loans wisely after other financial options have been fully explored.
- Considering work study or other employment on or off campus.
