Paying for college – things to consider
Bankrate.com posted an interesting article on how NOT to pay for college. They focus on five common “mistakes”.
The first is that many people don’t fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). This is a problem. Many students and parents feel that they make too much money to qualify for aid, but in truth this is the gateway to get financial aid.
The second “mistake” is choosing a school that is too expensive. Luckily, in Utah we have excellent schools and our tuition is low.
The other “mistakes” involve the types of money many people are using to finance their families education.
