Uheaa, Facebook, Twitter, and You
With big changes ahead for Utah’s higher education with the HigherEdUtah2020 plan, it is expected that by 2018 over 66% of jobs will require some sort of post-secondary education. With that being said, there is no better time to learn about and take advantage of the amazing resources that uheaa has to offer.
The newest addition to uheaa’s roster of resources to help you plan, prepare and pay for college is an integrated approach using online social media sites like Facebook and Twitter in hopes to reach out to the younger, more tech-savvy generations that will soon be filling our college classrooms. The organization will be keeping it’s “fans” and “followers” up to date with all the latest buzz and information on higher education in Utah including exclusive information on scholarships, financial aid, special events, contests, and all the freshest news from the higher education front. Additionally, yours truly will be coming out with a uheaa outreach podcast hopefully sometime within the next month or by early 2011!
In conclusion, all of us here at uheaa and the Office of the Commissioner of Higher Education are hard at work to supply you with any and all resources that you need to plan, prepare, and pay for college in hopes of sustained prosperity throughout Utah for many years to come.
