UHEAA & Fedloans Online Loan Management
Yes, folks, it has finally arrived . . . BEHOLD: the highly anticipated follow-up to my last post.
What? Whos exaggerating? Certainly not your humble author. Okay, maybe slightly, but Ive got an ego to boost here. Ha.
But seriously now, I am proud to report that I have successfully gained access to my FedLoan and UHEAA loans online.
As with everything else in life, it helps to be prepared. So. Before you run off to create your own account, keep in mind the following: you will be asked to provide your personal informationfirst and last name, date of birth, and loan account number (or social security number); you will be required to create a username, password and give a valid e-mail address; and finally, you will be asked to select a site image for additional verification/security.
Sounds like a lot, but honestly, establishing an online profile with FedLoan took me a total of about 10 minutes. As long you have a decent internet connection, it shouldnt take any longer than thatespecially as youve been briefed on what to expect. I already had a profile on UHEAA’s website but was able to have it deleted (many thanks to my co-workers) so that I could create a new profile and be familiar with the whole process. As with FedLoan, establishing an online profile with UHEAA took 10 minutes, tops.
And Ive got to say, it was 20 minutes well spent. Now I can do oodles of things online, like:
- Make payments, view payment history, and schedule future payments
- View account information, including current balance, interest rate, and loan status
- Change to paperless billing (and go green!)
And thats only to name a few.
Oh, and stay tuned for PART 2: AUTOPAY
