Voluntary Framework of Accountability Metrics Manual
Developed through a project sponsored by AACC, this manual will give community colleges specific metrics that assess how they do in areas such as student progress and outcomes, career and technical education programs (credit and noncredit), and transparency in reporting outcomes. The information will be helpful in reporting community college performance to the public and policymakers. Community colleges have largely been assessed using the same measures as four-year institutions, which in many cases do not match their mission or the characteristics of community college student populations. Salt Lake Community College is a member of the pilot group that helped launch the VFA. The manual can be accessed at http://www.aacc.nche.edu/Resources/aaccprograms/vfa/Documents/VFA_Metrics_Manual_v1_0.pdf.
