WSU Encourages Girls to Explore World of Engineering

(Weber State University) — Parent-Daughter Engineering Day will be held Feb. 25 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Weber State University’s Hurst Center for Lifelong Learning. The event is designed to spark the interest of 40 junior high school-age girls and get them thinking like engineers.

Baine graduated with her first degree in electronic engineering technology and worked as a microchip designer for 10 years. She then went back to school and earned her bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering with a minor in technical writing. She is the author of more than 20 engineering publications and is the director of the Engineering Education Service Center. More…
